Sun-Sha-In
The sun travels hour by hour throughout any given day, from east to west, from dawn to dusk, shining on everything under its path. It shines on anything natural, anything man-made, anything organic, anything inorganic, anything tall, anything short, anything wide, anything narrow, anybody rich, and anybody poor.
What submerges in the pool of light and what surfaces from the stagnation of shadow are elements of any city. The rays of the sun have their angles, volumes, depth, and shallowness. In one moment, shadows of people going about their daily routine strike as a graphic impact of a vibrant city; in another moment, multi-angle reflections from complicated geometrical patterns in a city suggest that we live in the margins of structures made of asphalt, steel, and glass. All in all, when light hits, it reminds us of what we are surrounded by and what we become aware of.
